The Five Pillars of the Ascendant Mind

I have something special for you all today. I am happy to announce the release of the first book published by Aion Media, The Five Pillars of the Ascendant Mind. This book is a collaboration between myself and my good friends, James P. Dowling and Chance Lunceford (who’s done a guest post here that you may be familiar with). This book is the culmination of a lot of what I’ve talked about here on MasterSelf, as well as the personal systems of the other two contributors.

As a result, this is a totally new approach to self-improvement. Let’s take a look at what we’re working with.

The First Pillar of the Ascendant Mind is

This is more than just motivation. Motive Power isn’t just the thing that gets your car started, it’s what keeps it going once you have it rolling. In the process, you’ll learn where Motive Power originates, what things benefit it, and what things might destroy it.

The Second Pillar of the Ascendant Mind is

The capacity to recognize patterns is the basis of all intelligence, so if you’re going to use your intelligence to its fullest potential, you better be ready to find some patterns. This Pillar will teach you how to analyze the patterns of behavior in your own life, to disrupt the toxic patterns, avoid your triggers, and to build new, healthy patterns. Here, you’ll learn to construct a new framework for your success.

The Third Pillar of the Ascendant Mind is

Now that you’ve understood the hidden patterns that govern your actions, you have to break down your approach with two strategies- maximizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses. This is where you’ll learn to take the best things about you and make them better, and to move with such grace that the worst things you’re capable of are no longer a factor. With this Pillar, you will walk the tightrope with the balance of a true Master.

The Fourth Pillar of the Ascendant Mind is

Now that you’ve gotten the hang of your skills, why not combine them? This Pillar will teach you the mother of all skills- how to combine your interests, talents, and abilities to amplify their strength exponentially. This is the Pillar that will separate you from all the other one-trick-ponies of the world.

The Fifth and final Pillar of the Ascendant Mind is

This last Pillar is the most critical of all. Here, you will learn how to become so wildly efficient that even failure will push you forward. This is the ultimate alchemy of the Ascendant Mind, to turn disaster into triumph and a setback into a step in the right direction. When you can turn every failure into an opportunity, you will be unstoppable.

Without further ado, I (semi-) humbly present to you-

Garrett Dailey

Garrett Dailey is a formerly homeless D.I.Y. philosopher who believes that one cannot understand the universe without first understanding themselves. To that end, he has committed to a lifelong journey to become the best version of himself, and in the process, create a community for others who wish to do the same. May we all be led from ignorance to the truth. Pros aion Aletheia aionios.
